Nate served as a Marine Scout/Sniper Team Leader during his combat deployments to Iraq in 2006 and Afghanistan in 2011. The knowledge and material he teaches draw directly from his firsthand combat experience as a sniper.
After his honorable discharge, he served as the primary instructor for a private SWAT Sniper School for several years, training police snipers from departments across the country.
In 2023, Nate developed and became the primary instructor for the Gilbert Police Department's Regional SWAT Sniper School, which runs annually.
Currently, he is a Captain-Paramedic with the Gilbert Fire Department and also serves as a Gilbert SWAT Medic. Nate has completed Basic SWAT School, multiple advanced law enforcement sniper courses, and two formal SWAT Sniper Instructor courses—the most recent being the American Sniper Association's Snipercraft Instructor Course.

Guest instructors will be current or former SWAT / military snipers, and will provide a formal introduction at the beginning of class.
